When we were originally approached by the Medical Insurance Agency, their requirement was for a ‘kiosk’ style information delivery system. The information would be interactive, and ideally would be touch-screen driven. This would be located near the entrance to their new head-office building. The layout of this building contained an indoor car park, which was described by the Managing Director, Bob Bycroft, as ‘more of a Mercedes Benz showroom than a car park’. After company guests had parked their car however, the route to reception was not immediately obvious. The kiosk would be situated near to the doorway and instruct guests primarily upon how to reach reception, but it would also dispense information pertaining to the many branches of the company. MIA sent an information pack to us that contained much of the information that they envisaged would make up the content of the kiosk.
